Based in on Western European country close to an international airport
Work remotely out of home with 50% travel to customers and European Offices as needed for meetings.
the Regional Sales Manager
holds responsibility for developing new and existing relationships with food, beverage companies (excluding key accounts) as well as flavor and ingredient companies while generating sales volume in accordance with an aggressive, high-touch program.
in addition, this sales executive holds responsibility for the development and management of distribution in Western Europe.
Provide the commercial leadership, discipline and initiatives required to fulfill objectives, plans and budgets for Western Europe working in close collaboration with the Vice President.
Develop appropriate, strategic plans, strategies and objectives for all customer classifications, regions and geographies across Western Europe in conjunction with the Vice President. Such plans will be reflective of customer composition, customer needs and opportunities, as well as the total spectrum of offerings of the company inclusive of new and opportunistic products and applications.
Provide world-class commercial and sales management programs, activities and initiatives to all assigned classes of trade across Western Europe, while working interactively with all of the above defined sales support groups and managers.
Proactively develop, manage and enhance business relationships with all accounts (excluding global key accounts) through direct engagement, leading to new project pipeline expansion in support of company growth goals and objectives.
Proactively develop and maintain strong, interactive working relationships with the commercial executives the North American region and other locations across the global resources footprint of the company.
Establish a program of market intelligence to help identify business opportunities across all classes of trade for the company (except key accounts) across Western Europe. Such intelligence would comprise competitive activities (sweeteners, flavors and ingredients), innovation and new user applications.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of field sales experience in positions of increasing responsibility in the flavors, sweeteners or value-added specialty food ingredient sectors, with a solid track record of developing and running a sales region or a specific customer category (e.g. Beverage).
This person will currently hold a field management position with a company that utilizes advanced sales programs and practices that enhance the development of commercial leadership and sales organizations.
In addition, this person will be collaborative and adapt at proactively utilizing resources and opportunistic support resources across their organization and industry in the planning and execution of superior sales programs inclusive of new products, line extensions and applications.
This field sales executive will be described as a hands-on, customer-centric and collaborative professional, and adept at developing innovative solutions to enhance commercial effectiveness. This person may be an individual contributor with the opportunity for people management in the future.
An undergraduate degree is required for this position
