Sales Manager Foodingredients 

​

Location Johannesburg/South Africa

​

• office based

• The person does not have to have experience in Africa but would prefer to have someone with food industry / food ingredient experience.

• Preferably someone with food technology background.

• Sales, Marketing and business development

• Maintaining current sales and expanding business volumes in line with targets.

• To set up agents and or distributors in East and Central Africa. Geographical area, Sub-Saharan Africa (initially East and Central Africa) and may also include a few clients in S.A

• ​Products: natural colours, couloring foodstuff, fruit and vegetable powders, extracts

​

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

• You are sales hungry and visit customers and potential customers intensive

• Provide sales budget

• Develop and Execute a Sales Plan

• Responsible for successful introduction of new products

• Prepare Price Quotations

• Process Sample Requests from customers in line with the sample request procedure

• Follow-up of orders and existing business management, like pricing, projects etc

• Coordinate with R & D team to ensure clear communications at all times

• Analyse and inform competitor’s information available from market. 

• Prepare Visit Plans in advance: 

Skills required 

• Technical Sales with min. 5  years experience  in  Flavour Colour or Food ingredients business

• Excellent communicator – verbal and written. 

• Proven problem solving skills.

• Ability to build effective relationships and working partnerships with customers.

• Commercial awareness of financial implications of decisions made.

• Language – English 

• Good Organisational Skills

• Self Discipline
