Global Head of Formulation Food colours m/f/d


you have experience in Food ingredients, Colours, Flavours or Seasonings


Location: North Italy


Education: PhD in Chemistry of similar


Job Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for pre-formulation and formulation design and development of food colours ( i.e. Emulsions, Encapsulation and Extrusion).

  • Responsible for leading and directing the formulation development function as well as strategies and activities critical to our discovery and development programs.

  • Expected to work with vendors to lead and provide technical guidance of pre-formulation, formulation design, characterization, and development;

  • Working on the food colour formulation, R&D function, technical capabilities, and work flows.

  • Collaboratively manage and provide technical guidance to research and development team including R&D and manufacturing schedules at multiple research teams.

  • Interface on the establishment of product specifications, applying stage-appropriate and risk-based approach

  • Provide guidance on quality control strategies and operations from early development through registration for all development candidates.

  • Provide input on program development strategies, budgets, and timelines to ensure that both technical and business requirements are achieved

  • Serve as scientific or project lead on programs or projects, including due diligence assessments

  • Serve as interface between company and external collaborators and partners

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with relevant internal Development and Discovery functions to effectively support on-going programs


Technical Capabilities required:


  • A critical and strategic thinker with exceptional decision making abilities

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving and organizational skills; thrives in a cross-functional

  • team environment

  • Experience and demonstrated success in formulation development and delivery across a range of molecules, and through all stages of development, including performance qualification

  • Familiar with analytical methods and instrumentation used to characterize pigments, dosage forms,

  • products.

  • Understanding of chemical and physical properties of pigments and excipients as they relate to formulation, process.
